Lady Kathryne

This is a dress I made for a friend of mine, Katie, who's full name is spelled different, but I liked that name for the dress. I made this one about 2 year's prior to the Lord and Lady set, but I think it's one of my best. I used a simplicity pattern, but made a few changes. I took a crap load of care making this dress because we bought some really expensive fabrics and it was my first time making a empire waist with a collar. I have to say this is my favorite dress. It turned out the best and i sometimes feel like i can't ever make one to match this one's quality. I wish i had close up pictures of the details, I really like the way the cuffs turned out, but oh well. In the future.

The sleeves and colar are Dupani silk (I think that's spelled different) and the bulk of the dress is Tungsten red velveteen, with accent plush velvet for the bodice and the pannels on the skirt.
